Shrek Forever After - PS3 Game (Retro Fam)

If you can look past the notion that this is a Mario Kart clone, and take the game as it is in it's own right, you would see that this is a fun, easy-going and extremely entertaining title. I picked this game up on the cheap and wasn't expecting much but in the end, I couldn't put it down. The cheerful music, vibrant colours and fast-tempo in the gameplay are enough to keep you going. I found Mario to be a little monotone after a while and this is where the games differ in my opinion - the beautiful and very active environments you race in as well as a somewhat cruel difficulty curve keep it interesting.If anything, perhaps some more well known characters and franchises could have been represented (Toejam and Earl, Streets of Rage, Ecco, Golden Axe etc...) but that is a minor criticism though it could be argued they should be available by DLC, though apparently won't. I would love to see a sequel for sure and at $20 from retrolio, this is a steal!

Play with my nephew and fiance all the time. We love it. Would not change it for any other game. Graphics are awesome!

My kids cannot get enough of this game they could play it for hours if I was to let them.

I bought this for my boyfriend who has loved Sonic since he was a child. We like to get games of this nature to play together, and I purchased this almost immediately after buying ModNation Racers thinking that, at the very least, it would be just as good. It has FAR surpassed my expectations, and as a 20 year old gamer, I can definitely say that this is the best racing game that I have played since Mario Kart 64.
