I haven't used an action replay since I had a …

I haven't used an action replay since I had a dslite but after purchasing a new 3ds I figure it was time to get a new one! This works a bit differently than older action replays. You plug it into your computer and it automatically downloads the codes for whatever game you have plugged in. You can set it up so that it keeps those codes so in the future you don't need an Internet connection to use it, but for the first time you will. If you don't have a strong or consistent Internet connection then that may be a problem, but for me it wasn't. Very quick and simple to use.

It's awesome. I missed out on a number of generations for Pokemon and when I could finally get a new handheld, I didn't have access to a lot of Pokemon, anymore. This definitely helped me catch up in Alpha Sapphire. It's safe, just use as directed. In fact, it backs up your save files for any games as many different times as you want and with whatever name you want.
