I'm not likely to mess with emulators or anything like that: I wanted a solid-state, turn-key solution for some of my old SNES favorites, and this did exactly what I expected.Packing, box, controllers, cables all a miniaturized spitting image of my old SNES (long since sold). I love the HDMI connectivity. I did get some cable extensions, seemed reasonable for the cost.I've only lately been playing Final Fantasy III (VI), and the emulation seems top notch, 28 hours into gameplay. Speed, gameplay, graphics, sound are all extremely close to the SNES cartridge original. No lag, no graphics snafus. This is the game I intended to use as my "benchmark" for the performance of the mini SNES system, and it delivers 100% on the promise of replicating the original experience.Might pursue the NES mini next as a consequence of how well this went. Would be extremely eager to get a miniaturized N64 in the same spirit as NES/SNES. We'll see if Nintendo listens to its consumer base; I live in the hyper-nostalgic 30-40 YO demographic that grew up intertwined with these systems.Someday, I'll get to replaying Super Mario RPG, Legend of Zelda, Starfox, and others. I've dabbled a little with Super Mario World, and the experience was profoundly nostalgic, although I keep my controllers from getting sticky.I'd highly recommend this to anyone NOT wanting to monkey around with emulators.
