Pride FC - PS2 Game (Retro Fam)

There have been a lot of reviews published on retrolio about this game, and by now you've probably read them all. If you did, you must have noticed that people tend to either really like it or really hate it, with the "likes" outnumbering the dislikes but not by a huge margin. So even after reading you may still be in the dark about whether this game is for you. With that in mind, I'm going to skip a regylar review and try to answer your question by addressing what I think is the central issue as to this game. But first, let me list the fighters who are included, b/c I don't think anyone else has. They are:Akira Shoji -- Alexander Otsuka -- Alan Goes - Dan Henderson - Guy Mezger -- Gary Goodridge -- Gilbert Yvel -- Enson Inoue -- Carlos Newton -- Heath Herring -- Igor Volvchanchyn -- Kazushi Sakurabi - Katsuki Fujita - Ken Shamrock -- Ricardo Arona --Don Frye - Semmy Schilt -- Nobuhiku Takada - Renzo Gracie - Antonio Rodgrigo Nogueria ("Big Nog") -- Daijiro Matsui -- Murilo "Ninja" Rua -- Royce Gracie -- Wanderlei Silva -- Tom EriksonSo, as you can see, there are a lot of PRIDE and MMA legends here, but also some rather glaring absences. No Fedor or Aleks Emilianenko, no Antonio Rogerio Nogueria ("Li'l Nog"), no Mark Coleman (a particularly egregious absence, considering this game is essentially a reconstruction of the legendary 2000 Pride Open Weight Grand Prix, which Coleman won), no Mirko Cro Cop, no Anderson Silva, no Shogun Rua, no Rampage Jackson, no Alistair or Valentij.
