Usual dredd stuff

I've never read any of the Judge Dredd comics before and decided get this book to start the collection. I don't regret it at all.The design work (cover and pages) is impressive; it actually looks like an old comic book.The first stories are good to know better about the character and the universe, even with some continuity issues with the script and the B/W art.

good fun.To compare these stories to how Dredd is now would be unfair, early Dredd is badly written and lacks a lot of the wit of later stories but bearing in mind how old the comics are and that 2000ad was still trying to find its feet it it holds up surprisingly well.if you are new to Dredd comics i would recommend to avoid until you have read some of the later stories first, case files v7 onwards. but once you have it's a great insight into the series roots and how the character evolved.

Love these collected stories, and its great seeing the character evolve into what he is today. I highly recommend it.

I really liked this book. It contains funny stories from the early days of Judge Dredd. The majority of stories are very simple and gives the reader a good understanding of what the world of Judge Dredd is all about.
