I've been a longtime fan of the pokemon games. I was very eager for this remake and when I enjoyed it a lot I was a little let down by some factors involving this game. The customizable fashion option found in X and Y was missing. There's not many new things in this remake to make it stand out and made more memorable.Battling against trainers, gym leaders and the villain teams is too easy, especially if the exp. share is turned on to distribute exp. points to the whole team to level them up faster. Those battles against the supposedly tough gym leaders and the villainous teams disappointed me.But on the plus side, the graphics is stunning, the atmosphere of this world is breathtaking You should see the sunken ship in there! One of the neatest things to admire in comparison to the original RSE games.I liked the 3D introduction of each gym leaders you encounter, you get to see more of their personality in 3D than you do the expressionless pixels of them in RSE.There's just so many things I could go on about this game but I think I'll stop it right here.I would recommend this to pokemon fans but must warn that those who played the original RSE may face some disappointments with this remake, but that shouldn't stop it from being enjoyable.Happy gaming!
Hoenn was never my favorite of the Pokemon regions. The remakes, while containing wonderful graphics, some really entertaining new mechanics, and an ever-present nostalgia factor, left me a little bored. I didn't have that urge that I just couldn't put the game down. It's been out for 3 months now, and I'm just now getting around to finishing up the Elite Four and embarking on post-game. There are weeks that will go by without me even picking this game up. It's not something specific about the game that turns me off - there are just other things, other games, that I'd just rather play more. That being said, technically, this game is the best one to date. Encountering Pokemon in the actual world, and being able to sneak up on them, is a real blast. I also like the addition of the DexNav, which for a completionist like me, allows me to keep track of what Pokemon I've encountered on a route and how many of those I've managed to catch. The addition of overworld flying on Latios/Latias is actually pretty cool, and bring the idea of flying from place to place to a whole new level. There were also more story line additions this game, with cut scenes that broke away from the character sprite to give the game a bit more "world" feel - not everything occurs right in front of you.I don't know how thrilled I am about being able to catch every legend - on the one hand, I think it's a great idea to make everyone feel like there is plenty to keep them engrossed in the game..
shop didn’t bother to delete the saved data which caused a lot of consternation and upset on Christmas morning while I google searched how to fix it. Otherwise is fine.
I had to have been a kid when Sapphire first was released. Every bit of the story amazed me, and Alpha Sapphire easily matched up. It includes both the classic elements of the Hoenn region, albeit with some modifications - i.e Granite Cave.I feel as though they've simplified some elements of the game in comparison to the classic, but they've kept elements of the game quite consistent with the feel of the original game. For example, the Dewford Gym is still blacked out, Fortree is still a maze of trees, and Sootopolis - at least for me - was still difficult to find (took me probably a day in the first game).I look forward to the next games from Gamefreak and Nintendo will release in the future.
