This set includes the correct AC adapter (9V DC, 1.2A) for the original 16-bit console, featuring the larger barrel plug with center-negative polarity, which is also compatible with the Sega CD. The AV cable is Model 1-specific and provides composite video and mono audio, as the original Model 1 did not output stereo through this port. Third-party AV cables that work with Model 1 are also widely available.
