Shaun White Snowboarding - PSP Game (Retro Fam)

I ordered this game from retrolio on a whim one day, and I can easily say it was a great decision. The classic good guys vs bad guys plot has been told a million times, but the story is secondary in this game. The true star here is the combat system, which plays out like many fighting games with a somewhat more limited move set. However each character plays a bit differently, from the Buster Sword swinging Cloud to Firion who is a master of all weapons from Final Fantasy II. If you are a Final Fantasy fan, or if you just need something great to play on your PSP, do not hesitate to buy this game. On a side note there is an Encyclopedia that is full of history, images, video, and music if you care about any of the back story to the characters and their relationships from previous games.

This game was really great. The graphics of the cut scenes were fantastic. The story was also great. I loved the RPG elements of this game. You can have different summons who will help you in different ways. There is a variety of weapons that you can either buy or you can trade items to form. In the story mode your character can have abilities that will affect the setting. I loved how free the battle is. In this game you are not trapped in a small space when you fight. The settings are huge for a battle game so the fighting takes more strategy. You can't just press buttons and expect to win. You have to think and evade the attacks of your opponent. I loved the fact that this one had so many cut scenes each describing the struggles of each of the heroes and the secrets of the story. This encourages you to keep on going to find out more. Btw each character has a finall special move. This was also a great addition. There are great characters. I was really please to play Cloud with decent graphics and so many other heroes from the FF saga. So go ahead and if you want to get a great FF game get this one.

Needless to say. This is a must guy PSP game besides FF7 Crisis Core.I can't wait for the 2nd one coming out! It should be released soon! It will have FF13's lighting and FF4's dragoon Kain! Woot!!
