I am a little bit surprised this game hasn't gotten more coverage. This is a fun, and challenging game from the SNES era. Great soundtrack, and a fun overhead shoot-em-up style of gameplay. I might even go as far as to call this one a hidden gem on the SNES, as I don't see too many people talking about it.It is worth noting that the controls are a tad finicky, and take some getting used to. I have also read that there is a password system, and there is an option to enter one in the options menu, but I have never been able to find a level password when I play the game.I also think that changing the name to "Soldiers of Fortune" for the US release was stupid. The Chaos Engine just sounds more mysterious and sci-fi sounding. But whatever, they never asked me for my opinion. If you are a fan of the SNES, and enjoy a good overhead shooter, this game is for you.
