Despite the fact the Super Nintendo had big amounts of …

Despite the fact the Super Nintendo had big amounts of classic games like Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy III (VI to everyone else) and Super Metroid, the system had a great amount of party games that you can play with friends and just have fun. Super Punch-Out! was one of those games since you could take turns playing each fighter, or see who could best the other's time when playing time attack mode. However, the game, like a lot of the older games, was hard and at times unbelievably frustrating at parts.Story: You're basically a boxer going through the different circuits which range from wimpy, average fighters to championship-caliber players who hit hard and fast. It's a boxing game so there's not really much of a story to begin with and fighters get their own little pre-fight quote/taunt.Graphics: The graphics, while outdated, work extremely well in the game as your fighter, transparent except for his gloves, faces off against the different fighters who face you. Some of the taunts and moves they do is actually quite funny and unlike some games, the graphics support the game rather than stylize it without the gameplay there.Sound/Music: The different fighters have different themes to go along with them and have small voice clips sometimes. Gabby Jay, for example, will open the match with a "yay!" and when he's about to get his big punch in, he goes "come on!" It's nothing to impressive but at least it gets the job done (although personally, I like listening to music while p.

I loved Super Punch-Out when it first came out and …

I loved Super Punch-Out when it first came out and I play this one once in a blue moon. Instead of a boxer named Mac, you have a boxer you have to give a name. The good points of this game are plenty: Your rapid punches and super hooks are devastating to your opponent, you can gain back your energy bar by pressing buttons(after you lay your opponent out of course), you have a good time beating the snot of these guys etc. The bad points are plentiful too. A lot of these opponents cheat. Dragon Chan KICKS you while you're fighting(Disqualify him now!),Hoy Quarlow hits you with his staff, Mad Clown throws balls at you in the middle of the match, Heike Kegaro hits you with his, her or it's hair, one of them spits in your face blinding you temperarily etc. Super Macho Man is one of the most annoying opponents in the game. When he's not flexing his muscles in your face like a fruit cake, he throughs a hook that knocks you out immediately. At one time, he threw that spinning hook at me SEVEN TIMES(and the seventh one caught me)! The most exruciating out of all your opponents is definitely the Bruiser brothers, Rick and Nick. I cant complain too much because I've beat the game a few times and Narcis Prince is a nancy boy. In short, Super Punch-Out is better than its predecessor, Mike Tyson's Punch Out and is recommended to any fan of boxing video games. LONG LIVE SUPER NES!!!
