While I'm a relatively hardcore gamer, Tiger Woods 09 for the PS3 was my first experience playing a golf game on the current generation of consoles.Bearing that disclaimer in mind, two words have summed up my experience with the title so far: cohesive fun. This is a game that just seems to be put together well. Playing on normal difficulty, I've found the gameplay and controls to be incredibly intuitive. I was a bit leery of the analog swing control given experiences with other games, but they've nailed it here. It ended up feeling like a very natural way to play the game and reminded me of playing Golden Tee at the arcades. There are persistent GamerNet challenges which present distance or accuracy challenges based on other users performances. This provides a constant extra incentive to nail a shot or improve.Other reviews have noted that the game might be too easy but I've found it to be just right so far.
