Top Gear 2 - Genesis Game (Retro Fam)

If you are wanting it in pristine condition, don't order it from retrolio!Mine came in a pouch with no protection. Corner was dented. Top was also creased.Actual product itself is quality. Controllers feel right. Have a nice weight to them and respond well. Comes with AC adapter (Take note Sony!). Presentation of the packaging is top notch.Didnt notice sound delays some reviews mention but its been years since i played original hardware. This release is a work of love for Sega.For cons, wish there were more display options. Save states could be timestamped to know which is more recent. Missed opportunity for Sega to have an online market place to buy additional roms. Obviously also missing the 6button controller but i get the atheistic they were going for a launch edition look.Honestly considering cancelling my TG-16 pre-order and buy elsewhere. retrolio needs to step up their product packaging

I was in the 7th grade when the original Genesis came out and it was a gift from the Videogaming gods. Near arcade quality graphics in an affordable home console was unheard of at that time. It came with "Altered Beast" and I also had just enough money saved to get "Super Thunder Blade" and I'm glad I did because as good as AB is, it gets boring fairly quick because it's so short.Anyway, on to the new mini console - SEGA did a GREAT job with the new console - terrific build quality, the controllers are top notch and they got the legendary Japanese developer M2 to do the emulation. They really went all out on this console and it shows. Great selection of games and they look and sound great. I've read there are some issues with the sound being off in certain games but I didn't notice that all. Buy without hesitation. SEGA!

My headline pretty much says it all---the system works well, has most (not all, but most) of the best Genesis games from across a variety of genres, comes with two controllers with reasonably long cords (much longer than the normal NES/SNES mini controllers, though not quite as long as those with the extra extenders), and utilizes a quality save system (which can be done in-game with the controller, and thus does not require getting up to hit the physical "Reset" button on the console like the NES and SNES minis).My only "critical" remark (which isn't actually critical of the product) is that I heard a rumor before I got the console that you could switch between the regions on the Genesis mini, allowing you to play the handful of region-specific games from the PAL and Japanese versions of the console. But as far as I can tell, that is NOT TRUE---if you buy the North American version of the Genesis mini, you will only be able to play those games, as there does not appear to be a region-switch. But again, that's only a critique of a rumor I heard, not the product itself (which again, is excellent).Top product, buy with confidence.

Don't be fooled by the knock off versions of this that have been out for a couple of years. This is the Sega 30th anniversary authentic mini console. Works awesome, obviously there are wired controllers, I fixed this with a 25ft HDMI cable that allows for the console to be near the couch. I use the same cable for other mini consoles. The game selection is really good also. A lot of fun!!!
