Valkyria Chronicles - PS3 Game (Retro Fam)

I don't think I need to write a long review to confirm what other reviewers had written. This game is great from every aspects, visual, audio, and gameplay. I haven't found any J-strategy RPG this great since Final Fantasy Tactics. (Sorry, Disgaea fans. Disgaeas are good, but this one is better.)The only thing I regret about this buy is that retrolio sold it for $49.99 for a while and I didn't get it :P But for $56.99, its quality worths every penny. I'm a die-hard JRPG fan and this game keeps me from strangling myself for not buying X360.Keep it up Sega :)

At 1st I was not too impressed with how the game played, but it grew on me and as the game progressed it grew challenging enough to keep my interest without losing me with complexity. a good balanced game but not an EPIC game or must have game. The storyline is pretty good, and the play time is faily low compared to how much cinematics you have to go thru until you can play. If you like games that have ALOT of story time, then this is the game for you.

Though it has a japanese appeal and great music it is a more of a strategy turn based game with some rpg elements. with that in mind it plays like full spectrum warrior/ten hammers but has more customization and is less darker and more hopeful in tone. If you are buying this for the anime and turn based appeal be warned, you need to use a little gray matter to enjoy it.
