A great exercise game that will get you moving. The Kinect literally scans your image into the TV, where you perform exercises alongside your trainer. While the sensor is not always 100% correct with regard to your body placement, it is remarkably accurate most of the time if you are facing the Kinect at the right angle. The game tracks an estimated number of calories burned overall, and if you connect to XBox Live, you can store more detailed workout statistics/history and compete with other gamers.I use this game every day, whether for a full workout or a quick "run" through NYC or London. Some of the fitness games included, like Wallbreaker, provide a quick and fun warmup, and the Latin dance, Bollywood, and kick boxing workout classes are fun. I wish that it included some cooldown and stretch segments, but other than that, Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012 contains many good activities, and the money spent on it as well as the time spent using it are a good investment in one's health and fitness. Highly recommended.

This is a fun way to get extra exercise! The day after my first go at it, I was sooo sore. The arm circles are different than the small ones you are used to, and you will find out you have these arm muscles that you never felt before! Haha. You will have fun, you will break a sweat. The downside is that you have to pay extra for more exercises, that I feel should be included in the cost. Also, if you want to keep track of your own personal calorie burn and don't want to share your user, there does not seem to be an easy way to switch profiles. Instead of there being a "switch profile" option in the menu, you have to turn it off and back on, and there will be a "switch profile" option before you get started. The only other way is by switching gamer profiles on the xbox, but that might not be an option if you want to stay online for achievements and such. As a one person game, if you don't plan on anyone else using it, this is pretty solid.

After reading several (over 100) reviews) I decided to purchase this program. It is well worth the money! Fitness 2012 has four different levels to start your program with as well as allowing you to choose your goals. It keeps a count of how many calories you burn and also will correct your form while doing your exercises. There are a multitude of exercises to choose from and several levels inside to keep you advancing. I have been using this for three weeks now and have to say I have been sore the whole time due to the incredible workouts it will put you through. If you buy it, be ready to have a workout! I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get back into shape or keep you in shape.

There are certain things about this game that annoy me, like the fact that it doesn't tell you your daily calories burned. You basically have to just remember the last number you were at when you started, look at your new number, and subtract it. But even doing that is pointless because the calorie estimations are WAY off. Trust me, you're burning more than it says you are. Also you're supposed to be able to link it with uplay to keep track of your stats but as far as I know, that isn't supported anymore. I will say that the workouts are diverse and fun and you can definitely work up a sweat with this game.

To start off, I want to state that I've owned this for a little more than a year and feel I have definitely gotten my money's worth. That said, I can't help but feel a little more time and effort polishing this title could have gone a long way. Before buying this title I'd say I maybe used my Kinect a handful of times, mostly just to show it off when it was new during parties. I could tell at the time though that it was great innovation to eventually achieve the holy grail of immersive and active gaming even if it needed some improvement. According to my states, I've since played this title about 60 or so times over the course of a year owning it. Here's my simple list of Pros/Cons:Pros:Hands down best excercise focused game out there even if it's a very small clubNice number and variety of excercises offeredUpbeat, loopy electronic background music keeps a rhythym without being annoying or overly repetitiveMakes working out in the privacy of your own home quick and convenientAudio voice queues, dings, and other feedback encourages you to keep up without being too abrasiveRelatively simple follow the leader style instructions means you can jump right inCons:No ability to customize much of anythingMany routines involve excercises with dumbells and there's no way to know which ones those are before you startSetting goals and tracking progress is arbitrary and not very logical. Some excercises that shouldn't count, while other that should don't.Tracking can be hit and miss, espec.
