I got the controllers after their supposed update, and the quality is good.-Buttons are clicky and appropriately sensitive-D-pad isn't too soft or hard; just in the right spot.-Cord is long-All button presses are responsive and there are no ghost-presses-Controller is pretty light; I've thought about soldering some pennies in on either side to correct this, but it's a minor flaw at best.They're not iBuffalo, but these aren't all that bad, from my experience.
I can’t believe how little I paid for these and how much we like them. I built a Raspberry Pi 3+ with Retroarch and they work flawlessly. Very satisfied.
These are great controllers, especially for the price. Can confirm: feels very much like a SNES controller when new.Not particularly durable, though. The pad underneath the B button on both controllers has lost some of its elasticity. On one of them, it doesn't register pressing precisely anymore. I got a year out of two playing through games that need a *lot* of B-mashing: Earthbound, Xenogears (the cutscenes, ugh), Super Mario World, Castlevania, Mega Man, and Zelda. So I got some use out of them. Just don't expect them to last forever.Overall, a good product if you're realistic about what you're buying.
Overall:Out of my 2 pack, one controller had a non-working d-pad, but I only needed one. It works. If I could rate 3.5 stars, I would.Pros. + Buttons feel good enough and d-pad is nice and responsive. (On the second one) + Cables are a good length. + Plastic is cheap, but build in a way that makes up for it.Neutral. • It's a SNES controller, if you like the ergonomics of those, you'll like this. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan, but that's just taste.Cons. - One of the controllers didn't work, but at this price I don't really care - The left shoulder buttons clicks incessantly when pressed, but the right one doesn't - Start and Select buttons are pretty mushy.
