I used to be a fan of EA Sports FIFA …

I used to be a fan of EA Sports FIFA soccer games but having played Winning Eleven I will never go back. Winning Eleven delivers a stunningly realistic soccer experience that requires concentration, creativity, and patience. It truly does make FIFA look like child's play.In addition to the stellar gameplay the game offers an excellent variety of league and cup modes, plus a solid training mode. The only negatives are that the game is not fully licensed so club teams have fake names and some players have fake names. Also the game does not feature any on-line capabilities.

... Level 3 and up is too hard. My first soccer game. I was looking for best, b/c I enjoy some aspects of the game though I'm an American. I played soccer a little and enjoyed it. I read the reviews here. Yes, the game emulates the game well of real life and the thrills. But, the difference in difficulty between level 2 and 3-5 is too much.Unless you're really good with controls and all, this game is too hard from level 3 and up. I was playing with France, which has best rating in the game, and I still can't win a game after 15 or so games. I am at a point of giving up on level 3.But, level 2 is getting too boring, because you can just outrun everyone. It's really difficult shooting. You have to get used to it. But, when you're fighting to get the ball up the field, you forget the shooting techniques. (Fighting to get ball up: at level 3 and up, you just can't seem to win balls on long lob passes, which should be 50/50 or better depending on the players. And, the computer seem to steal too well. Think 20 minutes of sheer fighting. Fun, but tiring, but can't score!)Otherwise, great graphics. Love the feel to the game. Customizable players and teams.
