Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection - Xbox 360 Game (Retro Fam)

This is a great collection to own for anyone who wants to relive the experience, or experience this series for the first time! But, for real, play Metal Gear Solid 1 first. It's not included with this package, but find a way.MGS 2 has everything that came with the original, with the addition of VR training for extra replay value. The textures are also spiced up a bit (Solidus looks way better, on a side note).MGS3 is just as amazing as ever, and included is the new camera angle from MGS3 Subsistence that follows behind Snake for increased visibility. Let's just say, it makes an already great game better. It does not include all features from Subsistance, but it does include the MSX versions of 'Metal Gear' and 'Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake'.This game is very worth it. It's also good to note that you can aim in first person without having to fire by clicking in the left stick. It seems some are not aware of it, and the game doesn't make it clear. Knowing this, the game is truly under your control.

I enjoyed this collection because my favorite MGS game by far is Snake Eater. HD looks fantastic and plays very smoothly. No slowdowns when walking through the insanely detailed swampy environments and the sound is crystal clear. Adding more clarity to a certain boss fight during the middle of the story.MGS2's upgrade is fantastic. Virtually unchanged since it's release (only HD). Peacewalker was a great addition also. A good break from the other two in terms of detailed control schemes and gameplay options. The graphics didn't look as great since it was ported from a PSP game. Nonetheless, it's enough to give the collection more variety and color.My only protest is that there isn't Metal Gear Solid 1. Which got me to play MGS in the first place. Since I only have a 360 I was later saddened by the fact that PS3 had a Legacy collection which consisted of practically all the heavy hitter games of the franchise.Despite that fact however, I still feel my PS2 collection of 1,2, and 3 will be enough and that this game is a great addition to my game shelf. If you only have a 360 and are a fan of this series, you won't be disappointed. The control schemes are familiar enough to the hands and took little time to get use to. All games only have a graphical upgrade, so all that you've enjoyed in the past is intact unless you liked the Ape Escape mode in the PS2 version. (lol)

I got this game mainly for peace walker that was first on the PSP. Peace walker is after metal gear solid portable Ops, which is after metal gear mgs 3.You play naked snake aka big boss so far its a great edition to the story line of metal gear. The graphics are good i couldn't tell the it was on smaller screen before, it been remaster well.The controls for mgs 3 are way different from ps3/ps2 controls it took some time to get use for the Xbox 360 controller but its playable. Overall a great collection for metal gear fans !!!!

had everything it said. low price for a great collection. slightly torn manual but I don't really mind, it was used afterall.
