World Cup USA 94 - Genesis Game (Retro Fam)

This is a great addition to the FIFA series. While it claims to feature 100 new animations, the main changes are in the over-the-back headers and the cutscenes. Over-the-back headers are when you push off a defender while jumping up the get higher than that defender to head the ball. The new cutscenes are very cool. When a goal is scored, the camera cuts to either the coach celebrating (or the other team's coach showing disappointment), a group of fans in the stadium, or fans celebrating around a public tv broadcast in the home country (The coach and home country cuts only happen with major teams like Brazil, Argentina, and Germany. The feel of this game is much like that of FIFA 14, and FIFA 14 on Xbox One (and presumably PS4) includes a stripped-down version of this game. The coolest thing about this game for Xbox 360 is that it recognizes the XP you have from previous games, so your tokens and XP level transfer over. The gameplay is more realistic than FIFA 13 in that pass commands and shots take a little bit more reaction time to execute well. My favorite thing about this game is that it includes corner commands (run to the edge of the box, left/right post, crowd the keeper) and goalie taunts, both of which have been removed in FIFA 14 to the best of my knowledge. I only have the demo, but in my opinion it is better then FIFA 14. This game is also very realistic with the fouls, penalties, expressions, and the introduction to the game. My favorite part is the commentaries, it seems like they are always Captain Obvious. For example, if I slide tackle someone and he falls down screaming in agony, they say something like "Oh, that's probably a foul right there." I like how they added new features such as the stadiums. you can either choose Estádio do Maracanã or other stadiums based in São Paulo. EA Sports also added 1 new difficulty, beginner. It is useful for practicing your skills or just getting high scores (My highest is 11-0 Brazil vs. New Zealand but my friend managed to score 20 goals in one game.). I bet playing online is a nightmare, whenever I play on professional-legendary my player has no room to move so my option is to either shoot or pass. I can't actually pass; All my teammates always seem to be behind me. The only complaint I have is that you can't play on the practice arena without having to buy the full version. Other than that, This game is spectacular.

According to my children it has actual players you can be and the graphics are good. It it also close to real soccer which makes the game fun.
