The Xbox console was a good price for what I needed. It works great and I can play all my console games again. It plays cd's and dvd's. The Xbox plays the best games of all the console systems on the market. It can be used with Xbox live which is very affordable at $50 a year. Xbox live let's you go on Facebook, Netflix, and live games that you play with friends and so much more. The Xbox 360 nicely compliments any smart tv. It makes for many forms of entertainment in your own home that the entire family can enjoy.
I have had several xbox 360's this is no different than any others really. However, I do regret not getting one with more storage.
Lots of well-publicized improvements, but one bad design decision... the wireless pairing button now doubles as the IR receiver. The receiver is now about half the original size and has a much narrower field effective field. A problem which is compounded by the fact that the front of the console itself is slightly angled. If you use your XBOX 360 as a Windows Media Center Extender or for Netflix using the Media Center Remote, you may find this annoying. I'm sure this was purely an aesthetic decision, since there's lots of front-facing surface to put a dedicated IR receiver.Still on the wish list for future revisions:-Integrated 5ghz wireless-n-Gigabit network support.-Bluetooth device support.
My family wanted this gaming system because of the unique option to connect with our family in another state. The many features are amazing. While we are still learning to maximize the console, I am a convert.
