I found this story to be very interesting............the need of the Dr to not only save or maintain life but, to actually create it.............to have to study so intensely to achieve this mad yet incredible goal and, then to actually bring it to fruition, only to realize how little was considered concerning the actual life it would live when he was concocting this illegitimate and, highly immoral plan to build a man. As the story progressed and life came about.........the being quickly developed feelings and emotions that were never considered............after running away from Victor Frankenstein, this creature hid in a house right under a family's nose; undetected, his time spent her enabled him to learn to speak, & write by watching and listening to them daily, but more importantly, it taught him about compassion, love, and family.......all of which he had none of and longed for, this was because he was not born like you and me but rather, built like a machine.....and because of his beastly looks; people feared him as soon as laid their eyes upon him. This is what breaks his heart making him feel like he would never have anybody to love; in turn this fact fuels his desire to inflict equal pain on his creator! The story is a tale of twisted turns and ups and downs for both character's keeping the reader filled with excitement, sadness, and death right up to the very end. I highly recommend reading this book as it will most likely become one of your favorites.
