Instead of throwing your controller at the screen and raise your blood pressure by 200 points you can input an unlimited lives code or any other code to drastically lighten your stress while playing, which is what games are made for, to relax. The Game Genie can also give you a peace of mind, and a good night's rest knowing that you had fun beating whatever game you have beat today instead of having nightmares about the game carts beating you. I highly recommend this to any gamer who wants a low-stress, and most importantly fun experience classic gaming! Enjoy!

Whether you like to use cheats in a game, play imported/unlicensed Genesis/MegaDrive games, or just like to mess around with a game's programming, the Game Genie is a must for any Sega Genesis owner. At first I couldn't figure out how to use it, but I caught on rather quickly. I also can confirm that the 3-line "master codes," as listed on some video game cheat code databases, is not necessary for operation. I can't think of a better game enhancer for the Sega Genesis.
