Rageball - PS1 Game (Retro Fam)

I really enjoyed reading the fighting in this book. Very fast paced and brutal as actual sword fighting should be. The world the author built is amazing and unique. The caste infrastructure was hard to understand right out the gate but it became clearer much later on. The division of races in the was prominent and felt very believable. The Nobles aka the higher castes treated the Lessers as second class citizens despite the fact that the lessers would fight and die in war just like the Nobles. The part I didn't like very much was the main characters relationship building. The protagonist would interact with others and he would be distant, standoffish and kind of a selfish prick. But when they died he would be torn up about it despite not having what I felt was a strong relationship. I didnt find the main character relatable at times but overall i liked reading his story and struggle to imorove to try and control his world. Great read can't wait for part two.

Fantastic book. Great world building. The fight scenes were incredibly well written, at least to me. I loved the characters. The cruelty of the caste system was hard to read, but the bravery and triumph of the men who pushed through it was outstanding. There is much sorrow in this book. There is vengeance taken to extreme. But there is also brotherhood and loyalty and love. I inhaled this book! I can hardly wait for the next in the series. Highly recommended! I am definitely following this author.
