I picked up this game because it reminded me of the old school RC-PRO-AM game from way back on the original NES. The game is a bit unpolished in areas but overall the game is a steal for under [$$]. The main part of the game allows you to freely select onroad or offroad tracks to race for credit points. The credit points you win allow you upgrade your car with better parts which will push your speed, grip , and breaking up to allow you to compete in the faster races. I found this game very fun the graphics are pretty good and as you upgrade your car the game begins to flat out fly moving so fast that my eyes and hands have trouble keeping up. The game teaches you to learn how to modify your car, having the fastest engine or gearing doesn't allways mean victory, I had to downgrade my car parts during several races just to get more control of the car and this is what makes the game interesting. My only complaint on the game is that at the later stages the control of the car becomes very hard and the game sounds become repetitive. The game is a steal though for the price and there is nothing like it on the PSX or PS2..
