Rocky & Bullwinkle & Friends - NES Game (Retro Fam)

Great game. Well made, easy to learn and play, and has great expansions. I play this with my partner who is not a gamer at all, but he actually likes this one since it’s not too competitive and there’sa nice randomness aspect that doesn’t feel like it’s the whole game.

This is a good expansion if you play Carcassonne with multiple players (4+) often. You will really enjoy both Barns and the Mayor as they will help you with rivals in large cities and fields.However, if you play Carcassonne with just 2 or 3 players, you may find that Abbeys and Wagons are more your favorite weapons in this expansion. Abbeys allow you to fill in holes in the board--sometimes trapping an opponent's Meeple for the remainder of the game. In addition, the Wagons can give you an extra move--which when you only have 1 or 2 opponents, can be very important. With only 2 players, we rarely, if ever, find a use for the Mayor or the Barn.Either way, the expansions tiles are a great extension of the game and add a lot of new dimension to the base game. This is one of the better expansions, though it benefits players in different ways depending on how many players are playing. Sometimes, some of the components are useless in games with less players.

My boyfriend and I LOVE this game. It is one we keep coming back to over and over. The game mechanics are very simple, but the fact that it is a tile game creates endless scenarios and opportunities to strategize. There is an element of luck because the tiles are chosen at random, but what you do with that tile placement is where the strategy sets in. It is also fairly quick gameplay - we have played multiple times now and generally it takes no more than 30 minutes. We actually have only ever played it as a couple - I can imagine if there were more players that you might want to buy a second game to use double tiles. The game goes fairly fast for the two of us with just one set of tiles.Cheers and happy gaming!
