Tecmo Super Bowl - SNES Game (Retro Fam)

Best game ever on NES.. even better than John Madden Football (Genesis & SNES). Way ahead of it's time. You have to remember, at that time it was the only football game you could throw a pass in one screen. The original Madden had 3 screens just to throw a forward pass and don't even get me started on the NFL Football game. You could throw a pass on just one extra screen in super slow motion but good luck completing it. That game was complete garbage! It's too bad that Madden owns the copyrights now on the NFL teams and logos and made a monopoly of football games. Tecmo released a football game a few years back but with generic teams/logos and made up players. It just wasn't the same.The original Tecmo Bowl was pretty good too. I remember going to the grocery store as a kid and making a bee line to the movie & video game rental section just to find that Tecmo Bowl had already been rented out. Every now and then it would be there if you were lucky. There would always be another kid making a bee line for it right behind me and the look of shame when they saw it in my hand was priceless! The high demand for this game was like no other. In it's day it was all the rage... Then Tecmo Super Bowl was released and I remember getting it for Christmas, so I never had to worry about renting it again. All that nostalgia came rushing back when I purchased it again a few years ago. Still playing it to this day as it never gets old.

I learned everything I knew about football from this game.Mostly, how to zig-zag.If you're buying it now, be sure you're getting it from a reputable vendor, you never know what you're getting with used NES games.
