X-Files: Resist or Serve has recently been released by Vivendi Universal. I picked up the game recently and found it impossible to put down. I found it to be better than expected, and really a good game overall.Overview:X-Files is a more than adequate game that satisfies your thirst for Horror. It's a Resident-Evil style Survival Horror game with some interesting twists to peak your interest. Additionally, the DVD content adds a nice amount of replay value. And as an added bonus, the game is only $30 bucks, brand new.Pros:* Intuitive gameplay. The game is relatively linear, so minimal time is spent trying to solve the puzzles that go along with it.* R.E. Style: X-Files patterns itself from the Resident Evil Series, and, while a copycat, it does so well. I can find no flaws in the way the game engine performs.*Graphics: I found myself thinking I was watching an episode of the X-Files, as compared to actually playing a video game.*Styles & Execution: All major players are by the main actors of the series. This helps the game feel more like a continuation of the television series. Overall, this really is one of the strongest parts of the game. Nothing beats hearing David Duchovney and Jillian Anderson bantering back and forth as Mulder and Scully. Period.Cons:* Questionable collision detection: Sometimes the game will slow down down on you, etc. Also, some of the baddies seem to come out of nowhere. This can also be a result of the poor camera selection.* Slow gameplay: Perhaps.
