30 hours in and I'm lost in the world. The game is VERY big, and every battle is an adventure to fight through. My biggest complaint, though, is that the game itself is designed to be a little too big. It's one of those RPGs where you have around 30 possible teammates and pick which 4 to take with you out into the world (though some missions restrict you), but the thing I dislike the most is that, outside of fights, the main character doesn't talk. These two things, to me, make the story feel a little less appreciable, as I feel like a silent protagonist shifts the story from the player-character to others. However, the game is amazing. The graphics and what they've done with them are something not commonly matched. As soon as you walk out the doors, or ride an elevator to the top floor of your home base you get to see as far as the horizon, no landscape clipping or disappearing objects; and the world is built in a very adventurous way, with outcroppings and overhangs and caves and cliffs. Enemies will sometimes load a little slowly, so you might be running through an area and suddenly enemies will populate the world around you, but that doesn't happen too often. I have yet to get my mech, a "skell," but I know that will only open a whole new world to me! Seriously, get this game and have fun on the alien world you get thrown into. The battle mechanics are simple enough to enjoy but have a depth to them to keep you engaged.
