Do not believe the reviews that talk about the print …

Do not believe the reviews that talk about the print being "near pristine" and "flawless" and "excellent". I just compared the Blu-ray to my 2005 DVD and the improvement is minimal, at best. They used the exact same DVD print for the Blu-ray with no restoration whatsoever. This is one of those big Blu-ray disappointments, when you listen to some 5 star reviews that make you think it's worth it to upgrade your current DVD, only to find it's hardly better than what you've already got. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Only buy the Blu-ray if you don't already own the DVD. If you've never seen the movie, you'd be better off to rent it, rather than spend $18.00.

Starring two of Hollywoods greatest legends, the beautiful and classy Maureen O`Harra and the legendary and dashing Errol Flynn. Against all flags is a great movie and a true classic of the pirate film genre from the golden age of film making.

A fairly decent pirate epic staring Erol Flynn, Maureen O'Hara …

A fairly decent pirate epic staring Erol Flynn, Maureen O'Hara and Anthony Quinn, with a very crystal clear image courtesy the blue ray format. The story is a bit of a variant on the pirate formula. Flynn plays a British naval officer bent on bringing pirates operating out of Madagascar to justice. He find some unusual allies along the way.The sociological portion of this film regards a potential inter-racial relationship between Flynn's character and an Indian Princess, which is never fully realized, but has a kind of political weight to it.Like some other pirate films that were late comers, there isn't as much ship to ship action as in previous films of the genre, but there's a good amount of action all the same. Some of the acting is a little stiff but passable, but either way it's still a pretty good story with a decent plot to it.If you want to see a decent pirate movie from the hay-day of pirate films, then check this one out.

These ttwo never looked better! Errol and Maureen play it …

These ttwo never looked better! Errol and Maureen play it perfectly in this stylish pirate saga. Anthony Quinn as a pirate with a heart (sort of) and Errol thrust and parry convincingly in a duel to the death on the quarter deck, and love is on the line! You get the picture. Maureen O'Sullivan is so beautiful, I can't even.
