Beyond Good and Evil - PS2 Game (Retro Fam)

you may not find another console game that is as emotionally rewarding as Beyond Good and Evil. it is a beautifully rendered artistic masterpiece with WONDERFUL characters and a remarkably detailed world filled with various intriguing life forms. your mission (playing as Jade) is to save the city. i must say that the ecological overtones are quite suprising (and warmly embraced). the characters are realistic and memorable, the mission is admirable and the gameplay "world" is quite unforgettable. the game evokes a wonderful innocent sense of "quest and adventure" and seems as if it might have fallen right out of a young George Lucas's brain during a happy youthful daydream. this game is MORE than highly recommended. in fact,..it is a MUST OWN. JET BOOTS ATTACK!!!!

Enjoyable to play. Female lead Jade is a nice charactor to have. I very much liked all the characters and the voices go very well with them.The story is interesting and I enjoyed having to use a camera to take pictures and become a reporter. You can do some fighting and some speed boat racing and some snooping around to find answers, so there is plenty to do. It is not too long to play, easy to learn the controls of Jade to make jumps and fight but not a lot of violence.Overall this is one of the best games I have played. I hope to get to play the next chapter whenever it is made, hope it will be just as good. Highly recommended.

If it wasn't for the Alpha Sections, the invading Domz would certainly have wiped out the city already and captured all of its inhabitants...however, a chance job offer gives Jade an opportunity to discover the truth behind the Alpha Sections and the Domz, and a story of military conspiracy unfolds.Graphics:Everything natural is depicted with a sense of fantasy and wonder...the sight of glowing foliage is simply enchanting. Everything mechanical is depicted in all of its rusting, polluting, oil-dripping horror. The harbor town gives both a feeling of a southern, tropical, coastal town, but also of a cold, northern shanty.You can't help convincing yourself of the smell of salt water and fish. In many instances, you feel like you are in the game; in a chase scene, nearby objects explode as you run by them, since you are being shot at by your pursuers.Sound:The music is excellently composed...too bad you do not hear it more often, as it often doesn't cue where and when it's supposed to. I purchased this game on the recommendation of a friend and wasn't disappointed. My 11 year old and I both enjoy the game, the graphics are good with a somewhat low level of violence.

What can I say.......I enjoy playing video games to unwind, and this one fills the bill! The scenery is amazing and the story line is consistent. If you enjoy seeking to find items, then this is the game for you. The game is also easy to play; you are not consumed with dying and having to restart often. You can just sit back and explore and enjoy playing the game. And for the price....you can't beat it!
