Silent Hill 3 - PS2 Game (Retro Fam)

If you were considering getting the Silent Hill 2/3 HD Collection or whatever it was called for Xbox 360/PS3, dont! Get the original here for Playstation 2! The protagonist's voice was changed from a teenage-something girl to what sounds like a 40 year old woman COMPLETELY ruining everything, and since she's your character and in every scene the HD version is almost unplayable. That combined with cut content from SH2 makes the PS3/360 version terrible...This original Playstation 2 version of the game is the one you want. It's incredibly creepy, dark and moody... one of the few games to actually make me sleep with the lights on for the next few nights! Sound effects are incredible, a few times I took off the $700 Sennheiser headphones I borrowed from a friend thinking that someone was banging around inside my house when it was actually from the game! This is one of the finest Playstation 2 titles IMHO and a must have in anyones library as long as you don't mind survival horror or horror in general. Much of the imagery truly is horrific and definately not for children - it will stick in your brain for a long time. Good game to make your girlfriend cling to you while you play if she's watching next to you.

Great survival horror game. The atmosphere is creepy. The graphics are amazing for the PS2 and still look scary today. My order came in the described condition and in a reasonable time.
