I've never played any of the Tony Hawk games because I could care less about SkateBoarding or that genre of games. The only reason I picked it up was because it was a Simpson's title, and I'm not disappointed. Once you get used to the controls, which for all I know are standard in such games, the game's pretty fun.You start out the game with the basic four characters (Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa), and one environment. There are a few other characters to unlock, and around five more environments to unlock by completing levels and such. What can I say? The game is solid. Most of the bad reviews I've heard are basing it on previews that they've READ (thus having never played the game), or basing it on Simpson's Wrestling (again, never having played the game). Simpson's Wrestling sucked, yes. Get over it. It was a different team working on the game - it implies nothing about the quality of this game.Overall - if you like the Simpsons and video games in general, it's a good buy. I don't know how it stacks up against other skateboarding games, but by itself this game is worth buying.Don't be fooled into believing reviews of people who've never played the game, or judging this game based on Simpon's Wrestling. At leaset rent it and see for yourself.
