Sherlock Holmes Crimes & Punishments - PS3 Game (Retro Fam)

This is an excellent game for what it's designed to be--a thinking game. The puzzles are simple but effective, the cases so far are interesting, and I really like the new "collect facts--> establish conceptual links via a pretty cool neural network-type GUI--> make decisions--> decide how you will enforce justice" circuit. This is what sets the game apart from the others. Very immersive, and technically very sound in this area. Walking around is a bit clunky, but it's not a deal breaker. If you enjoyed the first game, you'll enjoy the huge improvements and additional mysteries in this one. I'm enjoying it very much.Update: Playing through yet another case, it's very apparent that for some reason the diversity of challenging puzzles from the first game are almost totally absent in this one. So far I've had a few "scent" clues that involve rotating pieces of a 3D picture until it creates an image which then cues Sherlock's memory and helps him identify the scent...and a very simple mini game where you rotate concentric cylinders to pick locks. The earlier game had lots of puzzles and mini games which kept it interesting and challenging, this one seems to have like 2 or 3 that it repeats often. Hmmm. Bit of a letdown here, so I'm taking back one star. Still a lot of fun.

続編にあたる悪魔の娘は完全ローカライズされたんですがこちらは英語音声＋英語字幕のみです。Steam（PC）だけアップデートで日本語化されてますのでじっくりプレイしたい場合はそちらをどうぞ。PS3、PS4版ともにアップデートはなく日本語非対応です。操作、ゲームの流れはdevils daughter と同じです。足跡、証拠、死体のチェック手帳につけて目撃者やVictim（被害者）から証言をとってシナプス論理で結論へ...最悪の場合は攻略サイトがあるためクリアはできると思いますが北米ソフトの中では英語が難しい方ではないので特に問題ないと思われます。なお悪魔の娘は必要以上にプラチナトロフィー取得が簡単でしたがこちらはコンプリートまで少々手こずりますのでお気をつけをホームズの罪と罰とは何か？死体が歩く？消えた証拠？推理好きにはたまらんです。ちなみに画質も正直良い方ではないですし色んな面でPS3版と差がないこともお伝えします。在庫不足で価格が高騰気味の時はPS4版にこだわらずPS3版でも良いと思いますよ。

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments is a detective adventure game from developer Frogwares. Set in London, Crimes and Punishments puts the player in the shoes of the titular protagonist and must solve six wonderfully well-written and increasingly intriguing cases.Seeing as this is a detective game, a bulk of it involves exploring crime scenes and other areas of interest in search of clues. The game’s newest mechanics do a pretty good job of letting the player BE the famous detective. Activating ‘Sherlock Talent’ for example, will allow you locate clues that others (Looking at you Lestrade) might have otherwise over looked. It functions similarly to Batman’s Detective vision and is a welcomed edition, though the game always tells you when is the right time to use it. It would have been nice to turn that off. Using Holmes’ imagination will reconstruct a suspect or victim’s movement at a specific location to determine what exactly went down. It is a cool feature that isn’t utilized too much.Holmes will also interrogate suspects and question witnesses to help further his investigations. During these interactive conversations, players can utilize Sherlock’s keen skills of observation, which allow him to learn more about the person’s life. These little details prove to be very vital, as they expand the conversations, giving you the opportunity to learn even more valuable clues to aid in your investigation.Players will have to analyze certain items back at Holmes’ establishment,.
