I love this product so much. My wife and I bought it because we wanted a way to keep in shape during the winter months. We don’t like gyms and don’t have room for a treadmill so this was a perfect choice for us. All we have to do to work our is move our coffee table over and strap in.The excercises are intuitive and the controls are easy. I think even most nongamers could use it. The gaming part is one of the best things about it. Unlike other previous excercise games this once has a story and acts like an rpg. When I work out I really feel like I’m playing a game. The story is simple but even a simple story can give you the right motivation to do the workout. It’s easier to excercise when it just feels like you’re enjoying a game and beating bad guys rather than working out. It’s nice to level up even when I can’t see the results of the workout in my body right away. It’s inclusive. There’s different levels of difficulty. There’s a lot of accessibility options. There’s even a way to workout while your Switch is in rest mode. I guess I only wished it counted my steps too! Maybe in a future update it could.

Overall, I'd give this five stars. My whole family of five has played and enjoyed it. It definitely improves our fitness. I do have a few nitpicks:1. The story is a bit repetitive, and the Ring character's voice gets old pretty quick. An option to mute him, but keep the rest of the audio would be nice.2. The motion-based menu controls are kind of terrible, and the menus themselves aren't great. I mostly use the joystick and buttons, because the motion controls are so confusing. The fact that the joy con is tilted 90 degrees makes it difficult to know which buttons to press, which way to move the joystick, etc. For instance, I'm constantly taking inadvertent screenshots because they assigned that to the R button.3. Some exercises are unclear, particularly those that take your eyes from the screen. Those exercises need better auditory feedback.4. There's a lot for gamers and non-gamers here, but Ring Fit Adventure often errs on one side or the other. So there's a lot of room for improvement, but this is a great game. Perhaps they'll update the game, and improve some of these aspects. My family owns Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus, and both are now gathering dust. I suspect we'll be playing this one for much longer.

I was under the impression this would just be another video game that had the added benefit of getting up and moving around. Boy, was I wrong. This game is good for anyone who wants to not only move around move and begin a more active lifestyle, you can set the difficulty and get your heart rate up, sweat and even get tired from progressing in the game. The boss to me is hilarious as he is a play on the stereotypical muscle jock and is always working out. If you ever feel like you might have increased your difficulty too much you can always lower it again in the game settings. The dynamic stretch portion is also good to warm up, and the cool down is a nice feature as well. It's not what I expected but I am happy to have it now in my arsenal.

This game has got me exercising 4 days in a row (the game released 4 days ago). I look forward to day 5 tomorrow. Including days I work. I don’t typically exercise this much. The workouts provided so far have been general aerobics with plenty of core exercises and light resistance training thanks to that fascinating squeezeable ring known as the Ring-con and the leg band making use of the Joy-con’s gyro controls. The work outs get my heart rate up (the joy con tells me it goes up to the 140s). I’ve stretched muscles. I feel good after playing a session. Light but meaningful gains. The game executes what it needs to well with adventure mode enveloping the exercises in more curious trips and battles. It takes it exercises seriously promoting pre-stretch and post-stretch that varies depending on the exercises you did during your session (big props to that concept). Add to it a really colorful world and motivational tips and educational elements, and it’s a great meaningful session each time I boot the game. Really great design.I expect Tipp, Dragaux (sp?), or the Ring Con character to be a Smash Brother character in the future.HIghly recommended.

On the 7th day of using it, lost 2 pounds in total with lean diet. I feel like my muscle is strengthened and I feel more energetic than ever. The con is it’s kind of not very time efficient. The ring talks too much and the story line takes for forever to go through. I spent 75 mins for only 42 mins work out time in game. A total of 33 mins have been wasted on talking to the ring, the game characters, making “smoothies” in game, changing skills.
