The humans living on Antilia, a colony orbiting the planet Jupiter, think of themselves as Enders, as they're essentially at the end, or furthest reach, of human civilization. After a sudden attack by a fanatical Martian military regime known as the Z.O.E., Ender Leo Stenbuck finds himself with access to the one weapon that can save Antilia: a mechanized attack vehicle called an orbital frame. Take control of a fully armed prototype mechanized robot to fight off enemies during a space colony hijack. Conquer missions that change each time you play, or challenge a friend to a heated match. Zone of the Enders combines rich cityscapes and intricate canyons with futuristic weaponry and an intense storyline.

That is what Zone of Enders will always be referred …

That is what Zone of Enders will always be referred to. I find this incredibly sad, because Zone of Enders is truly a solid game. It's fun, visually stunning, and nothing like we've ever played before (except in the arcades). But I know tons of people buying this game solely to play the MGS2 Demo. But Konami already knew that.Anyway, Zone of Enders is a very easy game with what is supposed to be an indepth storyline. Unfortunately, the storyline is about as indepth as say "The Bouncer," and it leaves you hanging. The motivations for some of the actions to the characters were quite pathetic and even annoying at times. The only voice-acting I thought was solid was ADA, who was monotonous anyway. Everyone else was just annoying. Regardless, the game is fun to play and look at.Now, the Metal Gear Solid 2 Demo- it's pretty incredible. You only play one level, which can actually be finished in under 10 minutes, but there's a lot more to do in the level than just finish it. If you've never played Metal Gear Solid before, the controls take some getting used to, but once you do, it's incredibly fun. Some of the effects you run into during the game are incredible. You can see the individual hairs on the characters' faces. When people shoot you, and you're against a wall, blood splatters on the wall. When there's a pool of blood, and you step in it, you leave blood footprints for a while, and the enemy can see it and sound an alarm. You can take an enemy hostage and drag him ar.

What is the japanese obsession with teenage boys saving the world? seriously. Its unrealistic. Sure its a robot game. But think of it as a future game. In the future little kids would be able to defeat army people? I doubt it. This game was fun and pretty and cool. But it was short and kind of repetitive.

This is my favorite action game EVER, though I haven't yet purchased ZOE2 (i'm still trying to recover from Christmas expenses.) There are no action games that match the speed and energy that radiate from the gameplay of this PS2 MASTERPIECE. This mech game is sure to please any adventure game enthusiast that is looking for a quick quest. Why do I say quick? It is unfortunate to say that the game is rather short. The first time I beat it, it took me about 5 hours, and I've played adventure games that have taken twice as long, and even longer than that. It is very sad that such a brilliant piece of gaming art had to turn out to be so terse; however it is definately worth every penny that one may spend to purchase this game.Bottom line.....this game is GOOOOOOOOOOD!!! SUPERB!!! PRIME!!!It will provide you with a very smashing good time!!!!

Now this is a game that made my dreams come …

Now this is a game that made my dreams come true. It had everything that i wanted in a game, gameplay, graphics, somewhat of a story, but TOO short though. A great game with a short story line. When i saw the credits i thought that it would be like an anime and seperate it into chapters, but no..it really was the end of the game which [made me mad]. It would have been a great game had it have a longer story. As for the gameplay, I was sooo happy, i always wanted a fast paced game. This game is FAST, ALA Dragon Ball Z fast, if timed perfectly, you can grab and punch the enemy into the sky and then be behind him and slice and dice them to the ground. Now that i see that a game is this fast...why not make a Dragon Ball Z game with this type of speed for the playstation 2. Aerial combat is VERY easy, what i always wanted. I feared aerial combat in Armored Core 2, because the computer had the advantage, its painful to control your mech in the air, but not in ZOE. If you like a fast game, then ZOE is for you..., it even comes packed with Metal Gear Solid 2. All i have to say is that Rendered cut scenes we use to see on the playstation, are actual gameplay scenes in this game. Its THAT good.

My friend bought this game...and he bought it just for the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo, more or less...I have seen it and played it. Yes, it's a fantastic demo...but regardless, you will not see me pitching nearly $50 for a demo, I don't care how good it is...but that's just me. There are people out there that do win lotteries and can afford to buy a MGS2 even if it costs almost a hundred dollars. Now on to the game that is to be reviewed...Zone of the Enders. This has to be about one of the best PS2 games I've ever played. It was overall a very fun game and it definitely grabbed my attention from the intro and on.So why not five stars? Well, I don't believe in a perfect game out there and there are reasons that keep me from really saying "WOW!" to this game.I really think that yes, the game was very short. I was in a state of temporary shock when I saw the credits. I couldn't believe it. And I will agree with a lot of the other reviewers, Leo is about the biggest wuss and fruitcake I've ever seen in video game history. I can't believe how he managed to stumble into the Jehuty frame in the first place and all I can say is that Leo's rather fortunate that ADA didn't have emotions or he would've gotten ejected out of Jehuty, then shot into ashes then stepped on like a roach for good measure. Those were the nagging ones for me. A few minor gripes were just a bit of repetitiveness as the game progressed...true, you do end up fighting the same frames throughout, thou.
